Leon Jessel composed ‘Die Parade der Zinnsoldaten' in 1921; literally translated as The Parade of the Tin Soldiers. With the passage of time this delightfully quirky march has somehow become better known as ‘The Parade of the Wooden Soldier's. This humorous arrangement was created by the renowned American musician, Morton Gould, and transcribed for wind band by Calum Gray. Although popular as Christmas music this colourful score is a great addition to your concert repertoire throughout the year.
