About This Work
‘‘The Firecracker", composed and arranged for Xylophone and Concert Band by Ian Macpherson, is traditional in concept, emulating solos by Kenneth Alford and Jack Lemon. Inspired by New Year Firework display celebrations around the world this dynamic solo will enthral your audiences with its musical pyrotechnics. A great Concert or Bandstand feature and an opportunity for your percussionist to display his virtuosity.
