About This Work
The theme tune to 'Ladies in Lavender', composed by Nigel Hess, is testament to an extremely talented composer who has written music for dozens of British TV series over the last 20 or so years. He is one of those people who music is immediately familiar (his themes for “Maigret”, “Wycliffe”, “Campion”, “Dangerfield” and “Hetty Wainthrop Investigates” are classics), but who is almost never recognised by the public at large.
'Ladies in Lavender' is now available for Solo Violin and Concert Band. Arranged by Geoff Kingston from Nigel's original score this is a must for your concert and a score that will enchant your audience. With strings being increasingly featured during Wind Band concerts, this is a valuable addition to the repertoire. Also available as a Flute solo.
