"Night in Tunisia", was written by Dizzy Gillespie in 1942 while he was playing with the Earl Hines Band and became one of the signature pieces of his Bebop Big Band.
Featuring on well over 500 currently available CD's this is one of the all time jazz classics and his 1946 recording was added to the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2004.
In this, the first of a series of jazz classics arranged for Brass Quintet, Keith Terrett, retains all the vibrancy of the original be-bop style. Fun to play this is ideal for recitals, concerts or as incidental music.
