‘I Saw Three Ships’ is probably one of the most joyous Christmas Carols and full of Yuletide spirit. Graeme Abernethy, in this imaginative and very effective arrangement, has set the carol in a series of variations ranging from the sentimental to a joyful riot. Even the Trombone player seems to have had a glass or two of Mulled Wine too many. This is a great addition to the Christmas repertoire and one that performers and audiences will enjoy.
