About This Work
‘Labyrinth’ composed and arranged for Concert Band by Ian Macpherson, depicts an epic journey. In Greek mythology the Labyrinth was an elaborate structure designed and built to hold the Minotaur, a creature that was half man and half bull. Ian has taken a one bar motif and sent it on a journey through the Labyrinth, twisting and turning through its never ending passages; representing a journey to its centre and back again out into the world. This high impact work makes an ideal concert opener or overture and will enthrall your audience with its energy and shear oomph!
