About This Work
Gioacchino Rossini’s much beloved opera ‘The Barber of Seville’ is considered the most popular comic opera of all time. Full of wonderful melodies the famous ‘Cavatina’, performed by the Barber Figaro, is particularly well known and makes and ideal instrumental feature for the young and not so young soloist. Arranged by Geoff Kingston for Euphonium and Concert Band this glittering melody is instantly recognisable and fun to perform. Although the solo part is graded at Two, (Easy), the accompaniment is a little higher. A fun piece to bring a little operatic sparkle to your concert.
