Heart of Oak - Quick March

Wednesday, 25 July 2018

‘Heart of Oak' was composed by William Boyce; the words being written by David Garrick. The Oak in the songs title refers to the wood from which British warships were generally made. The ‘Heart of Oak' is the strongest central part of the tree.

‘Heart of Oak' is the official march of the British Royal Navy and of several other Commonwealth navies including Canada and New Zealand. This arrangement by Geoff Kingston is published by request and a great addition to the ‘extras' bag.
