About This Work

American Patrol is a military march written in 1885 by Frank W Meacham. The piece was revived in the 1940s by Glen Miller and his orchestra and became an immediate hit and is still popular today.


This new arrangement for Brass Quintet by David Burndrett takes the tune back to its roots in an innovative and appealing score. The tune passes around the ensemble in a foot-tapping swing style.
