Denis Burton

Denis Burton MMus FLCM ARCM psm, is known for his many arrangements, particularly for wind and brass bands; he has written five Regimental Quick Marches for regiments in the British Army. His final appointment within the Army was as Director of Music to the world famous Band of the Grenadier Guards. He led this band in all major state ceremonial events as well as touring extensively through Europe, the United States, Canada and Australia. Other appointments as Director of Music were with the Band of the Corps of Royal Engineers, the Royal Lancers and as Chief Instructor at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall.

Since leaving the Army he has been in great demand as an instrumental teacher, lecturer in orchestration and arranging, conductor and has had commissions for orchestral band and group arrangements worldwide.
