"If", written by the American songwriter David Gates in 1971, was originally popularised by his group 'Bread' and rose through the Easy Listening and Billboard Hot 100 charts. It was quickly 'covered' by others singers including Perry Como, Shirley Bassey and Westlife. The Telly Sevalas version reached number one in the UK Charts in 1975.
Now a perennial favourite at weddings as the first-dance song it has endured through the ages and become a pop classic in its own right.
Arranged in an easy listening, big band style by Geoff Kingston, this all time favourite will transport your audience back to the 70's and you never know, might bring back a few memories. A colourful score featuring solos for Alto Saxophone and Oboe with sectional features for Trumpets and French Horn.
