About This Work
'MacArthur Park', composed by Jimmy Webb, was originally written as a Cantata but was rejected and subsequently recorded by Richard Harris in 1968. Since then it has been 'covered' by many performers including a disco version by Donna Summer and dynamic jazz versions by Stan Kenton and Woody Herman.
Arranged by Geoff Kingston this all time classic is now available for Concert Band, featuring solos for Flugelhorn and Alto Saxophone. A powerful score that makes a great finale to any concert and one that will keep your audience and musicians on their toes.
