The most famous movement from Handel's "Messiah" is the "Hallelujah Chorus", which concludes the second of the three parts. Often performed separately it is now available for Concert Band and Choir, arranged by Geoff Kingston - in its original key of D major. If required an instrumental version, in Db major is also available.
In many parts of the world, it is the accepted practice for the audience to stand for performance of the "Hallelujah Chorus". Tradition has it that on first hearing the chorus, King George II was so moved that he rose to his feet
