About This Work
John Philip Sousa, (1854 – 1932) composed more that 100 popular marches, and is known as “The March King”. In addition his marches he was a prolific composer writing many operettas, waltzes and musical suites. The ‘Mikado March’, edited by Geoff Kingston, is a work little known outside the United States of America and embodies the charm and great sense of fun Sousa music often portrays. Whether performed on the parade ground or in concert this catchy march will be a certain hit with your audience.
