About This Work
‘Concert Overture’ was composed in 2007 following numerous requests from members of the Basingstoke concert band for another original composition from fellow member Philip Andrews.
The intention of the piece is to be a bright and cheerful concert opener which will be an enjoyable experience for both listeners and performers alike.
First performed at a concert given by the Basingstoke Concert Band on September 9th 2007 this tuneful overture is ideal for bands of all grades.
