‘Celeste Aida’ ("Heavenly Aida") is the romanza in the opera Aida (1871), by Giuseppe Verdi. It is sung by Radamès, the young Egyptian warrior who wishes to be chosen as a Commander of Egyptian army. Ian Macpherson has arranged this popular aria in a delightful new setting for Solo Euphonium and Concert Band. Suitable for performers of all grades and ideal for the young soloist. Fully scored, this can also be used to accompany the original Tenor part, which is included in the score.
