About This Work
“O mio babbino caro” ( Oh My Dear Papa) is instantly recognisable and probably the most popular aria from Puccini’s hilarious one-act opera “Gianni Schicci”. Its current use as the theme music to a number of television commercials has further promoted it’s popularly.
Arranged for Solo Bb Cornet and Concert Band by Ian Macpherson & Geoff Kingston, this is a delightful topical feature. Fully scored, this can also be used to accompany the original Soprano part – included in the score.
