‘Don't Stop Me Now’, recorded in August/September 1978 in Nice, France was the 1979 hit single by Queen, from their 1978 album Jazz reaching #9 in the UK charts. With words and music by Freddie Mercury, the song is based around his piano playing. The lyrics have cosmic imagery describing feelings of power and exhilaration although careful examination reveals numerous metaphorical references. Now available for Concert Band, this classic rock number is a great ‘party livener’ and fun to play. Arranged by Adrian Kingston this works well on the concert platform or outdoors.
