The Slow March ‘The Duke of York’ was composed by Christopher Frederick Eley, Director of Music of the Band of the Coldstream Guards from 1785 to circa 1800. This distinctive march has been in general use by bands of the British Army ever since and is still used today as a parade slow march or ‘Inspection Music’. Scored for full concert band we provide parts in A5 march-card and A4 concert parts formats.
