About This Work
Antonio Vivaldi was enormously important in the development and history of the concerto. His concertos number around 500 and were the foundation of his fame. Here Geoff Kingston has arranged his Concerto for Two Trumpets (RV 537) for concert band, Bb Trumpets with an optional part for Harpsichord. At only six and a half minutes in duration, this sparkling concerto is an ideal for the concert platform being immediately recognisable and fun to perform. If required, the work is available in its original key (C major) with parts for Trumpets in C, D or Eb.
