About This Work

“Megan’s Aire” is a solo composed by Kevin Riley for Flute and Concert Band in the style of gentle ballad. This haunting yet captivating melody originally had no title so Kevin looked to the Gods for inspiration; it was then that his cat “Megan” nudged him – hence “Megan’s Aire”.

Ideal for soloists of all grades this is perfect for the young performer and will undoubtedly captivate your audience with its simple charm. The soloist should play with full tone throughout and the band accompaniment must be kept under careful control.
